
Jordan Gary, CFP®, is the President and founder of Investment and Asset
Planning, LLC.
Jordan is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ® professional, a professional certification awarded
by the CFP Board for advanced education in the financial services industry and is a member
of the Financial Planning Association.
He has been a financial planner for 18 years and a CFP® professional financial planner for 15 years.
Jordan is also a member of the new Christian Financial Professional Network and has taken the year long training to become a CFPN Certified Christian Financial Professional . He believes in teaching Bibicial wisdom and Christian values and beliefs of morality, stewardship, and the use and value of money.
- He earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M
University at College Station, Texas, in 1971.
- He has a Masters of Theology degree from Southern Methodist University at
Dallas, Texas, in 1975.
- He's completed courses to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ® professional, from the
College for Financial Planning, Professional Education Program, Denver,
Colorado, in 1991.
- He is an ordained minister of the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. He was a full time pastor in the United Methodist Church for 15 years and pastored a Christian Church in Archer City for 8 years.
William Niles is a Vice President and Treasurer of our firm and is part
of the financial planning team.
Bill became a Certified Public Accountant, State of Texas, in 1982 His
other education and such is: Master of Business Administration, 1977,
Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas; Bachelor of Science in
Electrical Engineering, 1969, University of Texas, Austin, Texas; Bachelor
of Arts (Mathematics), 1969, Southwestern University, Georgetown, Texas.
Although Investment and Asset Planning, LLC is not a CPA firm, Mr. Niles
provides accounting services to clients of Investment and Asset Planning
through his accounting firm of Niles and Company, Certified Public Accountants,
of which he is the managing partner. Mr. Niles has been in the client
practice of public accountancy in the North Texas area through the firm
of Niles and Company since 1984. Prior to practicing accounting, Mr.
Niles was an Electrical Engineer in the employ of Texas Instruments,
Inc. in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Niles is also employed by the Wichita Falls
Symphony Orchestra as a string bass player. Bill is married and has
two children. Mr. Niles did research on the problems associated with
entrepreneurial endeavors as part of his masters work at SMU. He did
postgraduate studies in the area of automation of accounting systems
at the University of Texas at Dallas. He is a member of the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified
Public Accountants. He had an article published in the American Institute
of CPA's "Journal of Accountancy" and served on the AICPA's Subcommittee
on Computer Applications. He served on the Texas Society of CPAs Strategic
Planning Committee and on their Management Information Systems Committee.
Russell Johnson, attorney is the Counsel to our firm.
He is a graduate of Princeton University (B.A., 1969) and the University
of Texas School of Law (J.D., 1972). Mr. Johnson has practiced law in
Dallas since l972 representing numerous individuals and significant
corporations in the areas of income and estate tax planning, business
structuring, deferred compensation planning (including pension plans,
profit sharing plans and employee stock ownership plans), real estate
acquisition and development. Since 1988 Mr. Johnson has limited his
law practice to estate planning and asset protection. He is a member
of the Texas Bar Association, Estate Planning and Probate Section and
a member of the Dallas Estate Planning Council. Mr. Johnson is a founder
and former director of First Benefit Trust Company of Texas. From l984
to 1989, he was a member of the Advisory Board of Directors of First
Interstate Bank of Dallas (formerly Allied Bank of Dallas). Mr. Johnson
and his wife, Lisa, are active in community affairs. He has served as
President of the Tom Hughes Foundation; a member of the Executive Committee
of the Board of Directors of the Dallas Summer Musicals; President of
Swiss Avenue Counseling Center; Chairman of the Board of My Guardian
Angel; and Program Chairman for Troop 82, Boy Scouts of America. Mr.
Johnson is an Elder of Park Cities Presbyterian Church (PCA) and a member
of the Board of Trustees of Westminster Theological Seminary. They have
two sons, Russ (a Dallas businessman) and Ryan (a Junior at Vanderbilt
University).
Oscar Jackson III joined our firm in December 2002. For the prior 7 years he was an investment advisor with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in Wichita Falls. Prior to that he ran a family oil business in Seymour for many years.
Oscar Graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Math and Physics and did graduate work there in Computer Science.
He is a member of the Financial Planning Association and has finished the 6 college courses from Boston College to become a Certified Financial Planner. He hopes to soon pass his comprehensive CFP exam.
Gena Lohoefer is our Office Manager and Compliance Administrator.
Bringing more than twenty years secretarial experience with her, Gena joined
Jordan Gary & Associates in January, 1998. Prior to working with Jordan, she was a stay-at-home, "soccer mom" of two sons.
After attending Abilene Christian College, Gena began her secretarial career employed
by Schlumberger Well Services, in Abilene, Texas. She was with them
for five years. She worked with Texas Pacific Oil Company for two years.
Her family then relocated to Wichita Falls, in the spring of 1981. In 1986 she
was employed by CPS Systems, Inc. in the Accounting Department. She
remained with them for five years before "retiring" to take care of
her sons.
Sarah Berend Eads recently joined our firm in June 2007 as an assistant financial planner. She is a graduate of Texas Tech University where she majored in Personal Financial Planning. While there she participated in Red to Black, the student organization helping students with financial education.
Sarah was born and raised in Wichita Falls where she attended Notre Dame. She is married and has four children.
The CFP Board allows only those that complete the CFP® certification process (which includes demanding education, examination, experience and ethical requirements) to display the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) marks. Sarah has fulfilled the educational requirement.
